GoExploreRun was thought of by Kevin Pudlo in 2024 as he searched for different running routes to take as he visited other cities and also became bored of his existing routes. His idea was to create a website that allowed runners to easily find a run near them that meets their distance and preferred route type (natural, urban, etc…).

At the beginning of 2025, Kevin published GoExploreRun and began logging different routes to the site. This is still where the site is today – gathering different routes and finishing up some cosmetic touches to make the site more viable and functional for runners.
